Big Boost for Tom Suozzi

Congressman Tom Suozzi must be over the moon.
A host of January's most watched cable news program -- The Five -- suggested the Glen Cove Democrat for president in four years.
Host Dana Perino on Jan. 8 said, "Who do the Democrats have to run in four years? John Fetterman? Tom Suozzi?”
Tom Suozzi?
Ever since Suozzi was Glen Cove mayor, through his eight years as Nassau County Executive in the 2000's, he acknowledged that his ultimate goal is president of the United States.
Generally, this prompted behind-the-scenes guffaws.
But never downplay persistence.
January cable tv ratings were released today and The Five topped all competition.
That means View's average 4.765 million viewers learned that Suozzi could be the next Democratic candidate in open presidential race.
(Donald Trump cannot legally run for another terms despite wishful thinking from his supporters or expressed fear from his opponents.)
After serving two terms as county executive, Suozzi was elected to Congress in 2017 in Nassau's North Shore 3rd District. He decided against running for re-election to make an unsuccessful primary challenge to Democratic incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul.
Suozzi went back to Congress following the resignation of fabulist George Santos, a Republican who was elected in Suozzi's place, after the New York Times revealed Santos had lied about much of his background.
Suozzi was elected in a special election and then re-elected in November, despite Trump taking Nassau, including Suozzi's district.
Notice that Suozzi agrees with, rather than attacks Trump.
“I agree with the president’s emphasis on stopping illegal immigration, deporting criminals and targeting the cartels and organized crime profiting from human exploitation at the southern border,” Suozzi told the Post last month.
“These should be shared priorities for our nation.”
The Glen Cove goombah's ego will sink him. Remember when he was County executive!!!
