Like some Nassau Democrats, Lafazan joins Northwell Health

Nassau Legis. Joshua Lafazan

Another Nassau public official has gone to work for Northwell Health.

Legis. Joshua Lafazan of Syosset is a program manager for Human Resources at Northwell,  New York's largest health care provider, according to Northwell's directory assistance.

Lafazan could not be reached for comment. But his webpage says Lafazan "advises Northwell - New York’s largest private employer - on implementing policies and initiatives to best care for our employees, protect the environment, and impact our communities through strategic partnerships."

Although Lafazan is not affiliated with any political party, he has run and won the 18th legislative district seat twice as a Democrat and caucuses with the Democrats.

Other Nassau Democratic public officials have landed at Northwell.

Minority Leader Kevan Abrahams (D-Freeport) works there. So did the late Legis. Judy Jacobs (D-Woodbury) and former Legis. Roger Corbin (D-Westbury) before he went to jail for tax evasion. Bill Cunningham, chief deputy for former Democratic County Executive Thomas Suozzi, also works for the network.

Offhand, no Nassau Republican official immediately comes to mind as working for the health care provider.
