This year's cross-endorsed Nassau judges
Nassau's Democratic and Republican parties have agreed to cross-endorse 11 judicial candidates this year.
They include current judges, spouses of current judges and public officials.
Because they are cross-endorsed, there is no doubt they will be elected in November.
Here is the list:
For county court:
Helene Gugerty, of Bayville, elected to County Court as a Democrat in 2012 without cross-endorsement. She has been serving as an acting Supreme Court justice. Her husband, Justice David Gugerty, a former Democratic Oyster Bay leader and Nassau Elections Board Commissioner, was cross-endorsed and elected to the Supreme Court in 2019.
Teresa Corrigan, of New Hyde Park, was elected to the County Court as a Democrat in 2012 without cross endorsement. A former prosecutor in the Kings County and Nassau district attorney's office, Corrigan was appointed supervising judge of the County Court in 2017.
