County legislature breaks its own rules

Less than a month after the Nassau County Legislature adopted new rules that require meetings to be posted on its website, here is what was posted on the front page of the legislature's website today, Feb. 10.

It still touts a health and social services meeting from last week.

As you can see, this is still posted 41 minutes after a 1 p.m. Rules Committee meeting was scheduled to begin. But how would anyone know that without digging deeper into the legislature's website?

The old health and social services meeting continued to be the banner headline long after the Rules committee started, discussed items and voted on them.
